If you regularly suffer from allergies, it is best for you to live in a home that does not have carpets. If you must have carpets, find ones that are allergy free. Carpets are bad about holding dust and other debris that can make your allergies worse, even when you regularly clean them.

As you clean your home, never use a feather duster. These dusters tend to stir up dust and a lot of allergens. Rather than using a duster, use microfiber cloths or a disposable dirt grabbing cleaner to gently wipe off your household surfaces. This will minimize the amount of dust released into the air, as well as other allergens such as pet dander.

One of the most common allergens in the home is mold. Obviously, your bathroom is one of the most prone places to growing it because of all the moisture from your sink, bathtub, and shower. Always use the bathroom fan to help keep mold minimized in your bathroom. You can also paint with a mold resistant paint. This can be found in almost all home improvement stores.

If you are having trouble breathing while you exercise outside during allergy season, consider a lighter outdoor workout. Try to jog less, or not so hard, so you will be able to breathe easier. Exercise is important for your health, so don’t quit altogether.

Though the majority of people understand what allergies are, many do not fully understand how much they can impact people’s lives. When you learn how to manage your allergies, you will be able to get back to life, even in allergy season.
